A New Beginning
BlackFrame.AI is a startup founded in 2024, to Standardise, Streamline and Automate Training and Assessment of Clinical Skills for the Healthcare Workforce. We founded our team in January, and by April we completed an early prototype. MVP was ready by September and is currently being trialed by several medical schools.
The BlackFrame
Uses a combination of the BlackFrame device and our cloud based AI platform to capture student performance, analyse it and provide AI powered results and feedback.
Guarding against Bias
Inherent human biases that affect grading are not a thing on our platform. Our models are configured to remove personally identifiable information before grading and focus solely on merit.
Scalable Savings!
Status quo relies on the presence of an expert assessor at £9 per assessment. BlackFrame can provide a better service for a fraction of this cost.

The Team
George Ryan
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
MBBS, iBsc (Hons), Msc, MRCS, PGCert
George studied Medicine at Barts and The London Medical School and Business at Imperial College London. He ranked 13th in the highly competitive national general surgical training program application. In 2022, he was accepted into the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and is currently pursuing a PhD in computer vision for robotic surgery at University College London. George is passionate about AI’s role in healthcare innovation and is an avid tag rugby player and gym enthusiast.
Rafal Swidzinski
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Rafal is a full-stack software engineer with over 12 years of experience, having worked at leading tech companies like Amazon, Ericsson, Cisco, Google, and Axon. He is the author of the best-selling book “Modern CMake for C++” and runs a successful YouTube channel on technology. In his free time, Rafal enjoys woodwork and building computers.
